Mission Statement
We
are committed to fostering strong community ties between the Muslim and
non-Muslim communities via education, social service, and crisis intervention
that benefits our neighborhoods.
Our Values
Our
foundation has a long history of community service, as proven by the services
we offer to the Muslims and non-Muslims. At present, we do not receive any funding
from federal, state or local governments.
Currently, 80% of donations received
by IESF filter back to the community through the services we provide
:
1. 1. We do volunteer Interfaith with Jewish and
Christian organizations working with them for the betterment of humanity.
2, We service the homeless and indigent by going
out in the streets of NYC at night giving food, clothing, toiletries, and
Dawah.
3. We offer Job assistance, financial assistance for
transportation, referrals to job training, and job resources for the unemployed
and under-employed.
4. We contact and follow through with all
Agencies or Organizations that we refer our clients too.
Our Goals
It is our goal to close the gap of
poverty in our community. In addition to providing temporary money for shelter
and food, we want to offer social service programs and basic skills training to
assist the Muslim community to move toward decent jobs and stable lives in our
area.
